Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) refers to a set of technologies that capture carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from sources such as power plants and heavy industries, and then either reuse (utilize) it in industrial processes or store it permanently in underground geological formations. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA) and IPCC, CCUS is an important technology for achieving global net-zero emissions by mid-century.
