If your name is on the merit list, you must start preparing for the next stage immediately.
The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam is tentatively scheduled for the third week of January 2026 or February 2026.
The Tier 2 exam will be an objective-type paper. Paper II of Tier 2 will focus on descriptive writing and will be conducted after the objective-type paper.
It will also include a skill test for certain specific posts.
The final selection will depend on your performance in Tier 2, as Tier 1 marks are qualifying in nature.
