1. Nationality
A candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. UPSC CAPF Age Limit
The general UPSC CAPF age limit is between 20 and 25 years as of August 1, 2026. This means you must have been born between August 2, 2001, and August 1, 2006.

Stage 1: Written Examination (450 Marks)
This is the first hurdle. The written exam consists of two papers held on the same day.

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Medical Test
If you clear the written cut-off, you’ll be called for the PET. This stage is qualifying in nature, meaning its marks don’t count for the final merit, but failing here ends your journey.
