  3. You will see a progress bar with four stages:

    • Instructions

    • Verify Email ID

    • Verify Mobile Number

    • Create Password

  1. Carefully read the instructions displayed on the screen:

    • You must have a valid email ID and mobile number.

    • OTPs will be sent to both email and mobile for verification.

    • Password must be at least 8 characters, containing:

      • One uppercase letter (A–Z)

      • One lowercase letter (a–z)

      • One number (0–9)

      • One special character (@, #, $, etc.)

    • All future UPSC communication will be through this email and mobile number.

  2. Tick the checkbox confirming that you have read and accepted the instructions.

  3. Click Proceed for Account Creation.

  2. Re-enter the email ID in Confirm Email ID.

  3. Enter the CAPTCHA shown on the screen.

  4. Tick the declaration checkbox confirming ownership of the email ID.

  5. Click Get OTP.

  6. An OTP will be sent to your registered email ID.

  7. Enter the OTP and click Verify Email.

  8. A success message will appear: “Email ID verified successfully.”

4: Verify Mobile Number

  1. Enter your Mobile Number.

  2. Re-enter the mobile number in Confirm Mobile Number.

  3. Enter the CAPTCHA displayed.

  4. Tick the declaration checkbox confirming ownership of the mobile number.

  5. Click Get OTP.

  6. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

  7. Enter the OTP and click Verify Mobile Number.

  8. A success message will appear: “Mobile number verified successfully.”

5: Create Password

  1. Create a password following the password policy:

    • Minimum 8 characters

    • At least one uppercase letter

    • At least one lowercase letter

    • At least one number

    • At least one special character

  2. Enter the password in the Password field.

  3. Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password field.

  4. Click Create Password.

6: Registration Successful

  1. A confirmation message will appear:

    UPSC One Time Registration success message confirming account creation
    • “Congratulations! You have successfully created your account.”

  2. Click OK to proceed.

7: Login to UPSC Portal

  1. You will be redirected to the Login page.

  2. Log in using:

    • Registered Mobile Number & OTP, or

    • URN & Password, or

    • Email ID & Password (as available).

  3. After login, you can proceed with filling UPSC examination forms.
